The white pulp in the fruit also gives it the name white-fleshed pitaya or Pitaya blanca, and formerly it was also referred to as Hylocereus undatus.

Plants of this genus are native to  Americas, but the particular origin of the species  is not clear.

This fruit has pink peels and white pulp.

It is the most cultivated species in the genus because it is used as an ornamental vine as well as a fruit crop.

 

2) Selenicereus Costaricensis(Red Dragon Fruit)

The red pulp in the fruit also gives it the name red-fleshed pitaya or Pitaya roja, and formerly it was also referred to as Hylocereus costaricensis.

Since it has been cultivated so widely, it is difficult to determine its natural range, but it is native to Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

This fruit has reddish peels and red pulp.

Due to its reddish color, it is the most attractive.

For medical purposes, it is highly recommended.

Due to its high vitamin C content, it is more expensive than other species fruits.

 

3) Selenicereus Megalanthus(Yellow Dragon Fruit)

The yellow pulp in the fruit also gives it the name yellow pitaya or Pitaya amarilla, and formerly it was also referred to as Hylocereus megalanthus.

Native to Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela and found in tropical riparian forests.

This fruit has yellow peels and white pulp.

Among the dragon fruit species, it is the sweetest.

The exterior of the fruit appears to be covered in leathery skin and scaly spikes.
